Turkish Box

While walking through the colorful bazaars of Istanbul, Noe noticed the smallest entrance to what looked like a cavernous store and had to enter to explore it. Noe and his husband were greeted by the kindest old man with a charming old-world mustache. They scanned what seemed to be endless treasures from the times of the Ottoman Empire until they came across the most beautiful silver jewelry box. They wondered where the silver box came from and which houses it adorned. It’s black stone intrigued the couple and mystified the significance of this box and how it ended up in a bazaar filled with endless other pieces. It is now part of their private collection that they take across the world and is always a conversation starter. It is placed on their coffee table and adorns their space as a reminder of the magic of Istanbul.
