"Ophelia," Sarai's beloved Asahi Pentax, is more than just a camera— it's a treasure chest of memories and a symbol of her resilience. She named it after her favorite song by The Lumineers, "Ophelia." In her undergraduate days, Sarai bought "Ophelia" for a demanding black-and-white photography class, not realizing how much it would push her creativity and become one of the most rewarding experiences she ever had. Sarai and her best friend spent endless hours together in the darkroom, bonding over their shared frustrations and small victories. They'd walk into class groaning about failed shots and poorly exposed negatives, but they were each other's rock through thick and thin. Those challenges forged a deep friendship and filled the process with meaning. Even when their photos didn't turn out right, they learned to laugh at the mishaps, learn from their mistakes, and grow as artists. Now, when Sarai and her best friend look back on those darkroom marathons and endless hours of shooting, they can't help but smile and laugh. "Ophelia" is still a cherished part of Sarai's life and a reminder of the grit and determination that carried her through that challenging class. The laughter and friendship that stemmed from memories using“Ophelia” made it all worthwhile.
